Cassie Bullock is a senior majoring in Hospitality Management and minoring in Business. She chose this major after working at different event venues during high school, including haunted attractions and wedding venues.
“I fell in love with the constant interactions of guests and the changing atmosphere throughout the year,” Bullock said. “I decided I wanted to pursue hospitality as a career.”
With this career path, Bullock has many different ideas and goals for her future.
“My goal is to own my own event venue someday. My dream would be to run camps for kids in the summer and weddings in the off season, and I would love to have a music festival once a year as well,” Bullock said. “The sky is the limit!”
On campus, she is a Hospitality Management Ambassador and on the Leadership Team for a campus ministry. These organizations have given her many opportunities to get involved and meet new people.
“Being a part of the Leadership Team for my campus ministry has led to many opportunities like leading studies, meeting people from other campuses, living and working in Gulf Shores, and I have developed skills to carry with me for the rest of my life,” Bullock said.
Bullock did not think that Theta was the right fit for her in the beginning, but over time Theta grew on her. She became more comfortable at Theta, and realized that this is where she was meant to be. From random sledding trips to movie nights, Theta has given her many memories that she will not forget.
“Theta inspires me to be a better version of myself daily and has opened my eyes to the world around me. I have had the privilege to live life with girls I can truly call my best friends. We learn from each other’s strengths and respect our differences,” Bullock said. “Theta has led to late night conversations, spontaneous road trips, new hobbies, lots of chilling in the date room, and the dearest friendships.”
This summer, Bullock will be working at Westminster Woods Summer Camp as a Rec Coordinator.
“I am so excited to go back and serve in this new position where we spend our days soaking in the sun, sharing Christ with kids, laughing too hard, building new friendships, and getting minimal sleep,” Bullock said.
After this summer, Bullock will be moving to Orlando to participate in the Disney College Program, where she will get to work at the happiest place on Earth. Even though she is leaving Manhattan, the friendships and memories from Theta and K-State will never be forgotten.
“Thank you to Theta and K-State for being my home,” Bullock said. “You’ll always be a part of me. I cannot imagine college without the opportunities Theta has provided for me.”
