Meet Jordan Howard

Jordan Howard is a sophomore majoring in agribusiness. She chose this major because she loves agriculture.

“My dream job would be working for an agribusiness firm, either trading commodities or managing employees,” Howard said.

On campus, Howard is involved in the Agricultural Economics/Business Club, Christian Challenge, and Toastmasters Club. Her involvement with these organizations has allowed her to get out of her comfort zone and try new things.

Howard chose Theta because the women were genuine and she felt like they really wanted her to be a Theta.

“Theta gave me instant connections, and that was huge coming to a school that was 5 hours from home,” Howard said.

Someone who has positively impacted her college experience is Ashley Eberhart.

“She helped me get through calculus our first semester at K-State,” Howard said. “She has been such a good friend ever since.”

Howard recently competed in the Miss Southwest Kansas Pageant and won. During the pageant, she had a ten-minute interview with the judges and competed in the lifestyle in swimwear, talent, evening gown and on-stage question rounds. Her talent was a tap dance routine to “Fireball.”

“I will now go on and compete at Miss Kansas in June,” Howard said. “My platform is Adoption is an Option and I’ll be sharing my adoption story at Miss Kansas.”

Over the summer break, Howard will be interning in Racine, Wisconsin with CNH industrial.
